I completely agree that identifying as a global citizen, or at least having a global conscious makes one more self aware of problems around the world. It's crazy how much we don't know about the world and problems within it until we actively search to better educate ourselves. Couldn't one identify as a national citizen and still be conscious of how they affect others (thats where I am torn between local and global identities). I did not realize that agriculture was responsible for that much carbon emission. If everyone could see how their small actions can change the entire world, earth would be a very different place.
